Friday Flat Lay Faves: Baby Edition

So excited to be sharing a few of my personal favourites in baby products today! I love finding great (and good for you products) and these are staples in our girls’ bath and bedtime! Enjoy!

Nu.Babee is created by local mompreneur Erin. I absolutely LOVE supporting local products, especially when its another mama! Nu.Babee products are nothing short of amazing. And, they are affordable (any one else use natural products and feel like they are putting liquid gold on their kids?) Plus, they don’t make your baby smell like a hippy. If I could use an emoji here I totally would. But it’s the truth– I love natural products but the smell has to be good too!

I first contacted Erin on the recommendation of a mama friend (see, this is how the mom world works) for the Soothing Balm, created with beeswax, which is known for its amazing healing properties. It cleared up the rough, irritated skin on Aria’s face right away. Erin created it to treat her daughter’s eczema. I’ve also used this on Vienna who has incredibly sensitive skin– we’re talking a tag-on-her-shirt-can-result-in-a-rash kinda sensitive. That happened and I put this on at bedtime twice and it was gone.

I started using the lotion, because it smells SO good (even my husband– who hates most products– thinks this stuff is good). This is by far the best baby lotion I’ve tried- not oily or greasy, contains natural ingredients like calendula and honey to help moisturize dry skin, and leaves the best after-bath baby smell. Ever. Am I the only one obsessed with how babies smell fresh out of the bath?

And finally, I decided to try out the diaper balm as I’m recognizing more and more the importance of good-for-you products. My girls have sensitive skin and when V was a baby the answer was painting her in white, definitely not natural, diaper cream. Sure it kept her skin clear, but probably not the best choice (sorry kid). This diaper balm contains coconut and calendula oil, mango and shea butters, and healing essential oils.

Next up is the Paul Mitchell Baby Don’t Cry Shampoo. When one of your best friends is a hair dresser, this happens. We first tried it when it came as a baby gift for Vienna, and we have used it ever since. Can be used as a bubble bath too! Or so says the back of the product. It also says “suitable for daily use, except on color-treated hair.” The things you learn when doing a flat lay! I’m not sure what mom is colour treating their baby’s hair, buuuuuttt… too far Paul Mitchell! This product can best be found at Bogie and Bacall Hair Design 😉 and while I’m at it, stylist Tracy is also credited with the 400 and counting hair cuts required to shape a toddlers bangs (anyone else attempting toddler bangs can attest to this).

And finally, the Aroma Fairy children’s calming blend roller ball from Sage. If you read my Go the F to Sleep post you’ll know why this made the list. I roll this on Vienna’s wrists before bedtime. It’s adorable when she rubs her wrists together and then breathes it in. I may have told her it was magic. The other day she said, “this smells like sweet dreams.” Seriously, I can’t even make this shit up. How adorable and sweet is she?!

These are all my own personal opinions– just sharing some products I truly love and use. AND it’s giveaway time! We’ve teamed up with our friends over at Nu.Babee to giveaway a product trio (lip balm, baby oil, and soothing balm) to one lucky reader!
