The Okanagan has some amazing pumpkin patches and fruit stands! Buy your pumpkins early and store them outside in the garage or cold location until closer to Halloween!

A visit to these popular farms & orchards is an Okanagan fall must-do!

DAVISON ORCHARDS

Location: 3111 Davison Road, Vernon, BC
Pick your own apples

What: Take a tour into the Orchard and pick your own apples right from the tree!
When: Wednesdays – Sundays in September, 10 am – 4 pm
Cost: $12.00/10lbs bag; $4 mini bag; Tractor Tour: $10/adult & $6/child 2-12 years

U pick pumpkin tours
What: Take a tractor tour out into the pumpkin patch and find the perfect pumpkin!
When: Wednesday – Sunday in October, 10 am – 4 pm
Cost: Pick any size pumpkin $6; Tractor Tour: $12/adult and $8/child 2-12 years

DON-O-RAY ADVENTURE FARM

Location: 3443 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna BC
What: Visit the pony, sheep, goats, ducks, chickens and bunnies in the mini petting zoo. Activities include a hedge maze; airbrush tattoos; archery target practice; bouncy horses and a rickshaw horse carriage. Visit the market place to purchase ice cream, snacks and pumpkins from their huge selection! The Haunted Farm experience (family friendly) runs the month of October.
When: Open Friday – Monday, 10 am – 5 pm until October 31
Cost: $10/person, 2 & under are free. Pumpkins purchased separately.

MCMILLAN FARMS

Location: #1 – 3690 Berard Rd, Kelowna, BC
What: Tractor hay rides showcasing the 110 acre farm and fun activities including a corn maze and a giant sling shot to shoot gourds or apples through. The petting farm includes pigs, pygmy goats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, a llama and more. There is an onsite concession with drinks and snacks for purchase.
When: Sunday – Wednesday, 10 am – 5 pm; Thursday – Saturday 10 am- 6 pm. September 23rd – October 31.
Cost: Adult fun pack $9-12; kids fun pack $7-9 (depending on day of visit)

O’KEEFE RANCH

Location: O’Keefe Ranch, 9380 Hwy 97N, Vernon
What: Family Days in the Corn Maze! Tons of family friendly activities, including meet and greet with the goats and donkey, the general store, a model railway exhibit, and more.  In October check out the corn maze!
When: Fridays -Sundays, 10 am – 4 pm from September 8 – October 29th
Cost: adults: $10; seniors: $5; children: $5; family (2 adults and 4 kids): $25. Check back for corn maze admission prices.

Show and Shine on Bernard
Date: September 23, 11 am – 4 pm
Location: Bernard Ave, Kelowna
What: A family-friendly event for auto enthusiasts of all ages. Classic cars, hot rods, and genuine collectibles are available for viewing along Bernard Avenue. Visitors to Show N Shine will be able to view the vehicles, meet & greet each of the owners, and cast their vote for the most popular set of wheels!

Kelowna Scarecrow Festival 
Date: September 23, 11 am – 3 pm
Location: 1785 Gray Road, Rutland Lions Park
What: The 13th annual Scarecrow Festival includes a scarecrow building competition, local vendors, local performers, food and fun for everyone!

Share Creative Arts Festival
Date: September 23, 11 am – 5 pm
Location: 581 Gaston Avenue
What: A day of celebration, art, and support for the Kelowna and District SHARE Society’s programs that provide material support to those in need. The Festival will feature an array of activities for attendees of all ages, including performances by Indigenous Dancers and Singers, as well as local talents. Face painting, coloring contest, and hands-on activities like Yarn Art and Beading.

Riparian ReAnimation
Date: September 23, 10 am – 11:30 am
Location: Woodhaven Nature Conservancy Regional Park
What: Take in a new and unique experience that connects people to each other and to the land through puppets. Enjoy a family friendly ‘Riparian ReAnimation’ display of giant puppets representing animals commonly found in Kelowna’s creekside habitats. Drop-in. Registration not required.

Blacksmith Demonstration

What: Whether you want to learn more about blacksmithing or you just want to see a local blacksmith make some really cool items this is a fun event!

Grizzli Winery Outdoor Cinema
Date: September 23, 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm Doors open at 6:30- arrive early to to grab snacks, seats & play some lawn games.

What: Outdoor Cinema, Dirty Dancing! Set up your lawn chair and picnic blankets while munching on freshly popped kettle corn & snacks from food trucks on site, and enjoy some on-site wine, too!

Sundog Festival Kick-off Party

Location: Polson Park, Highway 6, Vernon
What:  A full day of family activities and entertainment, including bouncy castles, slide, games, community canvas, and roaming children’s performers. Polson Artisan Market will have vendors and local food trucks. Live Music and Performances will be on the bandstand all day long.

Family Glo Run
Date: September 29, check-in will take place at Heritage Park from 6:15 – 7 pm. The race begins at 7:15 pm.

Cranksgiving Festival and Enduro

Location: Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park Day Use Area, Stewart Road East Kelowna
What: On September 30 join the annual FUNDURO event for those riders who are looking for a casual introduction to an enduro-style stage event, but without the pressure.  Following this it is Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day with stations for kids of all ages to test out their skills and learn new ones. Both days will also be host to a parking lot BBQ and raffle prizes for all participants!

Location: Hardy Falls Regional Park & Mission Creek Regional Park
What: Drop by to learn about the lifecycle of Kokanee salmon. Thousands leave Okanagan Lake and swim upstream to spawn in their natal waters annually. Get an up-close look at these incredible fish and deepen your understanding of what makes this species so special.

Kelowna Fruit n Veggies Corn Maze

Kelowna Scavenger Hunt-Operation City Quest

What: Take a tour of the city in the most unique way with Kelowna Operation City Quest! The scavenger hunt adventure game is all walking, and perfect for family fun and team-building activity. Operation City Quest is an open world scavenger hunt, where you use your smartphone to seek out items in the city and complete challenges.

What: The Butterfly Run exists to support those who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss by organizing a Run to create community, raise awareness, and fundraise for supporting programs. A Spooky Party

What:  Pony rides on safe large pony and horses around the pasture or arena. Pony rides are suitable for ages 5+. Riders should be strong enough to hold themselves upright.

Fall Festival

Location: Willow Park Church, 439 Hwy 33 W, Kelowna
What: Dress up in a fun family friendly costume and collect lots of treats along the indoor candy trail with over 40 collection stops. There will also be bounce houses, hot chocolate, balloons and more! This event is perfect for younger children as it is a non-scary event.

Let’s Examine Salmon

Location: Hardy Falls Regional Park & Mission Creek Regional Park
What: Drop by to learn about the lifecycle of Kokanee salmon. Thousands leave Okanagan Lake and swim upstream to spawn in their natal waters annually. Get an up-close look at these incredible fish and deepen your understanding of what makes this species so special. All ages welcome. Drop-in.

Bear Facts
Date: October 7, 14, 21, 9:00 am and 10:00 am
Location: Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363 Springfield Road, Kelowna
What: Discover some bear-y cool insights and artifacts about bears! Our park interpreter will explain why they forage by the creek as they prepare for their winter sleep. Learn all about these amazing creatures and their habits! All ages welcome.

Black Mountain Haunted House

What: 3rd annual Black Mountain Haunted House! Free Hot Chocolate and Popcorn. There will be raffle prizes and a Halloween photobooth for pictures!

City Park Ghost Walk

Haunted House at the Museum
