read: to learn from what one has seen or found in writing or printing
When was the last time you read a good book? I love reading with my kids (I encourage them daily– visit our Little Library for recommendations) but sometimes I forget how important and refreshing it is for ME to read too. I used to read often, but got out of habit after having kids. What better way to encourage a love for books in our children than by modeling that behaviour, picking up a book and reading ourselves?
I’m on a year of personal growth, so my first list is one of non-fiction, personal development related books. Mindset is HUGE and I needed these perspectives to help me get out of my own way and GROW.
Parenting Books for Connection, Love & Presence
Being a parent is such an incredible gift and experience, and also so incredibly hard. I really enjoy reading parenting books to get some fresh perspective, confidence, and encouragement, among other things. These are five parenting books I’ve enjoyed reading that focus on connection, love, and being present. Something we could all use a reminder of every now and then.
