Okanagan Easter Activities

The Easter bunny is coming 😉 and it’s time to check out those fun family Easter activities! I’m a local Mom to two little girls (plus a baby boy on the way!) and we love checking out all the fun activities in our community. Did I mention holidays are our favourite? Here is a quick guide to all the fun events happening in Kelowna & area for Easter weekend. Enjoy! xo 

Family Easter Egg Fun

Saturday April 13

3rd Annual R.P.P.P Easter Extravaganza 

When: Saturday April 13, 10 am – 3 pm
Where: Quigley Elementary, 705 Kitch Road, Kelowna
What: Check out Quigley Elementary and Rutland Parent Participation Pre-School’s 3rd annual Easter family event, which includes an Easter egg hunt, bouncy castle, craft tables, cotton candy, activities, local craft vendors, face painting and Hena by donation, and so much more! Geared towards children 6 and under, minimum donation of $5.00/child. There are only 150 tickets available! (Tickets only needed for the children that will be participating in the egg hunt) Get tickets here.

Sunday April 14

5th Annual Chocoholic 5K Frolic

When: 10 am – 1:30 pm, April 14
Where: Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363 Springfield Road, Kelowna
What: Face painting, bunny hop, egg painting, sack race, bean bag toss, bunny darts starting at 10 am. A 5k walk-run-bike and a 1k bunny hop (kids 12 and under) start at 11 am. Presented by the Rotary Club of Kelowna in support of the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society. Families: $40 – Groups of 6: $70 – Individuals: $20

Thursday April 18

Photos with the Easter Bunny! 

When: Thursday April 18 2 pm – 5 pm/ 5:30 – 7:30; Friday April 19 & Saturday April 20 11:30 am – 2:00 pm; 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Where: Orchard Park Mall (next to Ardene)
What: Get your photo with the Easter Bunny! By donation to the SPCA ($10 minimum donation and cash only)

Friday April 19

Pancake Breakfast & Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 19, 10 am – 1 pm
Where: Parkinson Rec Centre, 1800 Parkinson Way, Kelowna
What: This is the 16th annual egg hunt hosted by Victory Life Church! Enjoy pancakes, family-friendly stage activities, prizes, and continuous egg hunts and games for children (15,000 eggs!). The entire event is free and open to everyone!

5th Annual Mission Hall Easter Pancake Breakfast Extravaganza Event

When: April 19, 9 am – 11 am
Where:  Okanagan Mission Hall, 4409 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna
What: Delicious pancakes prepared by the Mission Lions Club, egg decorating, bouncy castles, a visit from the Easter bunny, and an Easter egg hunt extravaganza! Breakfast Served in three seatings at 9:00, 9:30, & 10:00 am. Tickets are $2 available on event brite.

Saturday April 20

4th Annual Easter Egg-stravaganza

When: April 20, 10 am – 12 pm
Where: Memorial Park, 9999 Wharton St, Summerland
What: Sponsored by Remax Orchard Country, this family event includes a colouring contest; face painting; a bouncy castle, climbing wall and kids’ zone; hot chocolate and doughnuts; a visit with the Easter Bunny; and an egg hunt with 10,000 eggs!

9th Annual Easter Egg Scramble

When: April 20, 12 pm – 2 pm
Where: Memorial Park, 3737 Old Okanagan Hwy, West Kelowna
What: 9th Annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by RE/MAX Westside. 12,000 eggs will be scattered on the grass! Find a golden egg and win one of 25 gift baskets!

Big White Bunny Photo Op 

When: April 20, 1 pm-2 pm
Where: The Village Chair, Big White Ski Resort, 5315 Big White Road
What: Meet the Easter Bunny, pose for a photo, and enjoy some chocolate treats!

Easter Train Ride

When: April 20, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Kettle Valley Steam Railway, 18404 Bathville Road, Summerland
What: Enjoy the first train ride of the season on the Kettle Valley Steam Railway! Watch for the Easter Bunny to hop on board! There will be treats for the kids, music, and a visit from the Easter Bunny! Adults $28 and for Youth $23.

Family Easter Egg Hunt 

When: April 20, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Okanagan Boys and Girls Club, 5684 Beach Avenue, Peachland
What: Spring crafts, face painting, a bouncy castle, and a big egg hunt in the field! Registration is $5/child ages 3+ Call to register: 250-767-2515.

Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Outdoor Market 

When: April 20, 8 am – 1pm
Where: 1992 Dilworth Dr., Kelowna
What: Enjoy the weekly outdoor Kelowna farmers market featuring local farm, food, and craft vendors! They usually have something fun planned for Easter!

Kelowna Kid-Friendly Glow Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 20, 6:40 pm – 11:30 pm
Where: See link to register for details.
What: 7:00 pm, egg hunt for kids followed by kid-friendly games until 8:15 pm. From 8:30 on wards there is an adults only glow egg hunt and bonfire. This is a free, non-commercial event that is privately hosted at a residence in Glenmore. Registration is required in advance.

O’Keefe Ranch Easter Egg Hunt & Celebration 

When: April 20, 12 pm – 4 pm
Where: Historic O’Keefe Ranch, 9380 Hwy 97 North, Vernon
What: A fun filled Easter celebration including activities, crafts, pony rides, wagon rides, tours of the O’Keefe Mansion, and an Easter Egg hunt! Admission is $10 per person, $30 per family, or free for season’s pass holders.

Sunday April 21

Big White Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 21, 9:15 am and 12:30 pm
Where: Big White Ski Resort, 5315 Big White Road
What: The Easter Bunny, with the help of Ski School, will be hiding hundreds of delicious little chocolate eggs all around the Village! Free and open to children of all ages. Arrive at least five minutes early (the treats go fast!) and meet the Easter Bunny outside of the Kids Centre in the Village. Bring your own bag or basket.

Big White Easter Egg Decorating

When: April 21, 2 pm – 3pm
Where: Happy Valley Day Lodge, Big White Ski Resort, 5315 Big White Road
What: Stop by the egg decorating station to warm up and make your own Big White Easter keepsake. Limited space is available, first come first serve basis.

Big White Easter Sunday Breakfast

When: April 21, 9 am – 11 am
Where: Moose Lounge, Happy Valley Day Lodge, Big White Ski Resort, 5315 Big White Road
What: Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet ($19.95) plus a pancake bar just for the kids (10 and under) including all you can eat pancakes with maple syrup, vanilla whipped cream & a selection of Easter inspired toppings! Yum! ($7.95). Be sure to look out for the Easter Bunny too!

Easter Brunch at the Yacht Club 

When: April 21, 10 am – 2 pm
Where: Kelowna Yacht Club, 1370 Water St., Kelowna
What: Enjoy a delicious and decadent display of breakfast and lunch favourites with a chef attended roasts carving station and chef attended egg station. Adults: $38,95; Kids (6-12) $15.95; 5 & under: free. Reservations are required!

Easter Sunday Brunch at Predator Ridge

When: April 21, 2019
Where: Predator Ridge Resort, Predator Ridge Dr., Vernon
What: Enjoy the famous Sunday brunch with chef attended brunch stations, fresh seafood, gourmet breakfast & lunch items, desserts and a meet & greet with the Easter Bunny! Adults: $39; Kids $21; 5&under: $5. Seating times start at 9 am and end at 1 pm.

Easter Egg Hunt at Predator Ridge 

When: April 21, 2:30 pm
Where: Commonage Market, Predator Ridge Resort, Predator Ridge Dr., Vernon
What: After Sunday brunch head over to the market for an Easter egg hung and treats & prizes for everyone!

Easter Treasure Hunt 

When: April 21, 1 pm – 5 pm
Where: Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363 Springfield Road
What: A nature themed, sugar-free Easter Treasure Hunt! You will need a smart phone (download the Agents of Discovery App) and a sense of adventure to complete this 45 – 60 min treasure hunt.  All treasures are located on designated park trails, and some stairs are included in the trail circuit. All ages are welcome to participate in this free event.

Easter Sunday EGGSALENT Events

When: April 21, 11:30 am – 4:30 pm
Where: Wood Lake RV Park & Marina, 2930 Woodsdale Road, Lake Country
What: A day full of activities, including the Easter egg hunt (11:30 am), cake (1:00 pm), and a fun Easter movie in the clubhouse (2:00 pm).

Family Sunday at the Art Gallery 

When: April 21, 12 pm – 4 pm
Where: Kelowna Art Gallery
What: To celebrate Easter, kids can create one-of-a-kind tote bags using a monoprinting technique. Pastel and neon printmaking inks will be applied to a plexi-glass plate and run through a printing press to transfer a spring image onto the tote bag. $5 per participant.

Easter Pony Rides

When: April 21, 1 pm – 3 pm
Where: Kyra Londos Equestrian, 6320 Postill Lake Rd., Kelowna
What: An Easter themed pony ride for ages 3+.  $15 for a ten min ride. All rides are led safely around an obstacle course in search for Easter eggs! Must pre-register.

Monday April 22

9th Annual Locolanding Easter Egg Hunt 

When: 11 am – 1 pm
Where: LocoLanding Adventure Park, 75 Riverside Drive, Penticton
What: On going Easter Egg Hunt with eggs  spread throughout the park and the S.S.Sicamous boat. Plus enjoy activity and craft stations and a special appearance by the Easter bunny! 100% of proceeds go to the OSNS Child Development Center in Penticton.

  1. Easter is SO soon! I’m not prepared! I need to start planning some activities. We always do a couple Easter egg hints with the kids and a big brunch or late lunch with the family.

  2. Wow, what a great list of awesome events! That farmers market looks like so much fun, what a fun place to incorporate some Easter activities with the family!
