“Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.”– Author Unknown
We love books that share stories and adventures of strong, inspiring and brave girls and women. Vienna has been flying through the Princess in Black series— I highly recommend this series if your kids are starting Chapter books! The list below includes a range of books- from fictional tales, to biographies of incredible women, to inspiring messages.
We hope you enjoy this little collection as much as we do!
I’m excited to share this list of Easter books– perfect for primary school aged children. With some fan favourites like Pete the Cat and Fancy Nancy, plus some sneaky ways to catch the Easter Bunny, it’s sure to get your kids excited for Easter! We love the book an Egg is Quiet– it’s filled with interesting facts about all sorts of eggs. I hope your kids love these books as much as mine do!
One of our favourite ways to celebrate the holidays is with books, and our Halloween book collection is definitely a family favourite! This collection is perfect for kids aged kindergarten and up. These books are filled with fun story lines, little mysteries, and beautiful illustrations. And, it’s no surprise that two ballerina zombie books make the list– chosen by Miss V of course!

We’ve been enjoying some fun activities all month, and this week is my favourite! It’s all about enjoying everyday life and moments together.
We are back for another round of #bookishplay, this week we are focusing on feelings with one of our all-time favourite books, The Pout Pout Fish! If you’ve checked out our Little Library section you’ll know that my girls love books. We’ve joined a movement on instagram (@mamawrites) to inspire young readers to have fun with the books they read through play!

Let’s get our kids excited about books through fostering stronger connections to reading. My girls love to play and to read, so why not combine these two loves and have a whole lot of fun?
