The Easter Bunny is coming! Easter Sunday is April 9, 2023 and there are tons of family-friendly Easter activities happening around the Okanagan! Here is a quick, free guide to all the fun events– from Easter egg hunts to markets,  breakfasts and more! Happy Easter!

Early Easter Activities

Easter Eggstravaganza
When: April 1,  9 am –10:30 am and 11 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Multi-Sport Centre/Dome, 2139 McDougall Road, West Kelowna
What: Enjoy a morning full of fun. Play some games, hunt for eggs, visit the Easter Bunny and hold a baby chick or duckling!  This event is for children 10 years and under. $5/child.

Easter Weekend-Long Activities

Bookstore Easter Egg Hunt
When:  April 7 & 8
Where: Once Upon a Bookstore, 2795 Tutt Street, Kelowna
What: Easter egg hunts in the Bookstore! Search the store for non-edible, numbered eggs and cash them in for a special Easter package filled with local goodies! $10/child, registration is required.

Wine Tasting Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 8 & 9
Where: Priest Creek Family Estate Winery, 2555 Saucier Road Kelowna
What: A unique wine tasting Easter egg hunt with the whole family! Start at the wine shop and head off on a hunt through the vineyards to find your next station and treats for the kids! After you’ve found all the stations in the vineyard head back to the wine shop to enter to win prizes! Stay and enjoy the patio with a glass of wine and The Spot food truck for lunch! $10 (includes a tasting). No tickets required for kids. Reservations recommended.

Easter Weekend at Kelowna Christian Center
When: April 7, 8 & 9
Where: 905 Badke Rd, Kelowna
What: A family-friendly weekend of activities including a game day with candy-themed stations and activities, Friday and Sunday services, a youth night, and more.

Friday April 7

Okanagan Mission Hall 6th Annual Pancakes with the Easter Bunny Breakfast
When: April 7, 8:30, 9:00, & 9:30 am (Easter egg hunt at 10:30 am)
Where: Okanagan Mission Hall, 4409 Lakeshore Road
What: Egg Decorating, Bouncy Castles, & Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza! Three pancake seating times, kids 13 & under are $3.00 and all others 14 & over tickets are $6.00/person (plus online ticket fees). All attendees must have a ticket to show to ensure seating availability.

Family Friendly Sign Painting 
When: April 7, 1 – 2:30 pm 
Where: Soma Craft Cidery, 4485 Sallows Road, Kelowna
What: Rustic Chalk decor will be offering one hour sign painting for parents and kids where everyone will create a small sign project. Soma Craft Cidery will be providing Easter treat for the kids and will be offering a meet and greet with the Alpacas. $21/person

Saturday April 8

Easter in the Vineyard at Grizzli Winery with Egg-stra Indoor Activities 
When: April 8, 12 pm – 4 pm
Where: Grizzli Winery, 2550 Boucherie Rd., Kelowna
What: An indoor Easter event with an optional outdoor Easter Egg Hunt! Easter eggs, wine, indoor games, a scavenger hunt, caricature portraits, a colouring contest, egg decorating, Easter family film screening in the mini indoor bunny theatre and other fun easter activities. $5 entry for indoor activities, all ages- limited tickets available!

Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Outdoor Market 
When: April 8, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: 1992 Dilworth Dr., Kelowna
What: Enjoy the weekly outdoor Kelowna farmers market featuring local farm, food, and craft vendors!

Boys and Girls Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 8, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Cousins Park, Beach Ave and 6th St., Peachland
What: Hop-in to this free annual event hosted by the local Boys and Girls Club. Bring your own basket to Cousins Park behind the Community Centre and enjoy the egg hunt, games, face painting, and a visit from the Easter bunny!

Sunday April 9

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Phantom Creek (Oliver)
When: April 9, 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Phantom Creek, 4315 Black Sage Road, Oliver
What: Bring the little ones to the Estate for a festive morning of egg hunts, treasure-finding, and more! From 10 am – 11- am parents are invited to visit the expansive Tasting Room for ‘Hoppy Hour’! sip & enjoy special pricing on select Easter weekend wines by the glass and enjoy the beautiful South Okanagan vista. Open to the public. There are additional members’ special tours available at 11 am and 2 pm- registration is required. And, the restaurant is featuring an Easter family-style Celebration lunch as well as meal kit’s to-go.

Victory Life Church Easter Celebration
When: April 9,  10 am
Where: Victory Life Church, 1370 Rutland Road 
What: An family event including an interactive service, candy hunt, prizes, free family gift packs, refreshments, & music.

Beacon & Friends Easter Eggstravaganza & Spring Market
When: April 9, 11 am – 3 pm
Where: Memorial Park – 3743 Old Okanagan Hwy, West Kelowna
What: Tons of fun activities including Face Tattoos, Family Easter Relay, Easter Craft Corner, Spring Market, Photos with the Easter Bunny & Friends, Inflatables, Easter Carnival Games, Scavenger Hunt, and Food Trucks. Registration required for the Easter Scramble (egg hunt) for kids ages 2-12.

Family Sunday at the Art Gallery 
When: April 9, 12 pm – 4 pm
Where: Kelowna Art Gallery, 1315 Water St, Kelowna
What: Enjoy an Easter themed family Sunday at the art gallery making bunny puppets and friends! $5 per participant, 45 minute time slots. Registration is required.

DIY Easter hunt at SOMA
When: April 9, 12 pm – 3 pm
Where: Soma Craft Cidery 4485 Sallows Road Kelowna
What: Come and grab your pre-prepared Easter baskets and have fun hiding and hunting around the Soma property.
