Weekend Activities (Multiple days)
Celebrate Summerland
When: February 18 and 19
Where: Summerland arena and aquatic centre
What: A weekend jam-packed with events and fun, including live entertainment, food trucks, kidz zone, market, public skating and face painting and a family show!
Lake Country Museum Let’s Play Dress Up
When: February 18 and 20, 1 – 4 pm
Where: 11255 Okanagan Centre Rd W, Lake Country
What: The Museum will host a variety of photo opportunities to capture your family memories in a huge selection of vintage costumes. Craft table and learning stations will also feature fun for everyone.
Okanagan Science Centre Events
When: February 18 and 19
Where: Okanagan Science Centre
What: Check out two shows this Family Day weekend: Little Reptile Queen, featuring an up-close look at snakes and the Planetarium Show, that explores different aspects of space. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited

Kelowna Rockets Game
When: February 18, 7:05 pm
Where: Prospera Place
What: Watch the Rockets play the Portland Winterhawks
February 19
When: February 19, 10:30 – 12 and 12:30 – 2
Where: Kaloya Regional Park
What: Parks staff will lead games, challenges and dancing, along with entertainers and warm-up stations. Be prepared to play in the snow! Bring a sled if snowy conditions allow. Registration required.

Family Day at the YMCA of Southern Interior BC
When: February 20, 9 am – 5 pm
Where: 375 Hartman Road
What: Creative family-friendly activities, Games and Bouncy Castle, Swimming, Gym and fitness studio. Free admission all day!
Family Day at Sncewips
When: February 20, 10 am – 2:30 pm
Where: Sncewips Heritage Museum
What: Learn about the syilx/Okanagan people, enjoy some snacks & refreshments, and end the day with a presentation by guest Charles Kruger of Kruger Mountain Gear.
Family Day at the Kelowna Art Gallery
When: February 20, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Where: Kelowna Art Gallery, 1315 Water Street
What: Visitors can explore current exhibits and complete a free hands-on art activity. The activity allows each family member to create their own pennant which can be strung together to form a unique family banner. Registration required. Visitors can also drop-in and create a fun, family portrait using colourful supplies provided. This art activity does not require pre-registration and is self-guided. All materials and instructions will be provided.
Summerland Museum Passports to the Past
When: February 20, 10 am – 4 pm
Where:
What: A free visit to the Summerland Museum to enjoy exhibits, marvel at the Giant’s Head Model Railway, and learn about our community’s past! Kids can play “I-Spy” in the Museum to win a treat from our prize basket. Kids will receive a free “Discovery Passport” activity booklet.
Family Day Time Machine!
When: February 20, 12 – 4:00 pm
Where: Okanagan Heritage Museum, 470 Queensway Avenue, Kelowna
What:Celebrate Family Day by travelling back in time! Visit a number of historical time periods and encounter the dynamic heritage of Okanagan Valley. With a little help from immersive galleries, guided exploration, objects of wonder, and a bit of imagination, your family will experience Kelowna from prehistoric to modern times. In addition, have fun hunting for objects that are out of place in each time period. Find them all and enter to win a prize.

What: Jim Lund: Parent and tot (0-5 years) skate 9:30 – 10:30 am and public/family skate 10:45 am – 12:00 pm.

Where: Multi Sport Centre – 2139 McDougall Road, West Kelowna
What: Free inflatable dome play in the Multi-Sport Dome! 0-5yrs play 9:00-10:30am and family dome play 5yrs + 10:45 am-12 pm
Family Day Pony Rides
When: February 20, 10:30 am
Where: Kyra Londos Training Stables, 6127 Fathers Place
What: Pony rides are $49.50 for a half-hour ride and are suitable for ages 3+. Riders should be strong enough to hold themselves upright.

Where: Westbank Museum & Visitor Centre, 2376 Dobbin Rd, West Kelowna
What: A family storytime with local author, artist, musician, and songwriter, Mary Jane Martin. Afterward, explore the museum while doing our Beaver & Bear Scavenger Hunt, and then craft your own beaver or bear to take the scavenger hunt home with you!

What: Free family skating, drop ins only- no reservations taken.

What: Big White Ski Resort has teamed up with local company, Agents of Discovery, for a fun augmented reality app experience. Download this fully customizable app and explore Big White through a series of missions, taking you all over the mountain, solving clues and exploring new terrain!
Big White Fireworks

What: Check out the weekly Saturday night fireworks display from the skating rink or restaurant!
