The Easter bunny is coming! Easter is Sunday April 17, 2022 and there are lot’s of family-friendly Easter activities to check out around the Okanagan! Here is a quick guide to all the fun events happening– from egg hunts to markets, to Easter breakfasts! Enjoy! xo
Early Easter Activities
Saturday April 9
Easter Eggstravaganza
When: Saturday April 9, 9:00 am –10:30 am
Where: Multi-Sport Centre/Dome, 2139 McDougall Road, West Kelowna
What: Enjoy a morning full of fun! Grab your game kit and play some games, hunt for eggs, visit the Easter Bunny and hold a baby chick or duckling! This popular event fills up quickly so don’t delay! For children 10 & under. Adults free, only children need to register: $5/child. Register online.
Joe Rich Easter Egg Decorating Event
When: April 9, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Where: Joe Rich Hall, 11481 Hwy 33, Kelowna
What: The Joe Rich Rate Payers and Tenants Society is getting ready for the upcoming Joe Rich Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 16 with this fun afternoon drop-in activity. Enjoy some community interaction and show off your artistic talents! All eggs and decorating materials and supplies will be provided. Registration is required.

Friday April 15
Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 15, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Where: Kelowna Christian Center, 907 Badke Road, Kelowna
What: Easter Egg hunt, hot dogs, candy, coffee!
Bookstore Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 15, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Where: Once Upon a Bookstore, 2795 Tutt Street, Kelowna
What: An Easter egg hunt in the Bookstore! Search the store for non-edible, numbered eggs and cash them in for a special Easter package filled with local goodies! $6 cost/child, recommended for ages 2-8. Sessions are 25 minutes long and space is limited. Registration required.
Saturday April 16
Okanagan Mission Hall 5th Annual Pancakes with the Easter Bunny Breakfast
When: April 16th, 8:30, 9:00, & 9:30 am (Easter egg hunt at 10:30 am)
Where: Okanagan Mission Hall, 4409 Lakeshore Road
What: The 5th Annual Mission Hall Easter Pancake Breakfast Extravaganza Event! Three pancake seating times, egg decorating, bouncy castles, & Easter egg hunt extravaganza! Kids 13 & under are free and all others 14 & over tickets are $3.00/person. All attendees must have a ticket to show to ensure seating availability.
Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Outdoor Market
When: April 16, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: 1992 Dilworth Dr., Kelowna
What: Enjoy the weekly outdoor Kelowna farmers market featuring local farm, food, and craft vendors! They usually have something fun planned for Easter!
Boys and Girls Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 16, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Cousins Park, Beach Ave and 6th St., Peachland
What: Hop-in to this free event hosted by the local Boys and Girls Club. Bring your own basket to Cousins Park behind the Community Centre and enjoy the egg hunt, games, balloon animals, and a visit from the Easter bunny!
Salvation Army Vernon Easter in the Park
When: April 16, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Where: Lakeview Park, 3001 18th St., Vernon
What: There will be a photo scavenger hunt, Easter relay games, and a BBQ – free fun for the whole family!

Classified Motorsports Easter Car Hunt
When: April 16, 2022, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Classified Motorsports, 3-690 McCurdy Rd., Kelowna
What: This is a scavenger hunt where you will be given clues to find certain cars hidden around town. All participants will start at Classified Motorsports where you will receive the clue to the first car. At each car you find, you will receive your next clue. Some cars will also be awarding small prizes to competitors. No one leaves empty handed! This is a free event for everyone and anyone wanting to participate.
Downtown Vernon’s Downtown Days
When: April 16
Where: 30th Avenue, Vernon
What: Downtown Days feature roaming entertainment, free parking, specials and contests. A window Easter egg scavenger hunt make this weekend’s downtown days extra festive!
Sunday April 17

Where: Kinsmen Park, Shannon Lake Road, West Kelowna
What: Hop on over with family and friends to enjoy this fun and exciting Spring-time event. Children can meet and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny as well as participate in several activities that are located throughout the area. Family fun for everyone, including: caricatures, face painting, family Easter relay, Easter craft corner, spring market, inflatables, Easter carnival games, scavenger hunt and food trucks.
East Kelowna Egg-stra Special Market
When: Sunday April 17, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Where: East Kelowna Community Hall, 2704 East Kelowna Rd, Kelowna
What: Enjoy a day filled with a variety of local artisans, crafters, food vendors! Easter giveaways, family crafts and more surprises!
Victory Life Church Easter Celebration
When: April 17, 10:00 am
Where: Victory Life Church, 1370 Rutland Road
What: Invite your friends to an Easter Celebration that is a fun, kid friendly time for the whole family-while still hearing the Easter message. Candy hunt, prizes, free family gift packs, refreshments, & music.
Family Sunday at the Art Gallery
When: April 17, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Where: Kelowna Art Gallery, 1315 Water St, Kelowna
What: Enjoy an Easter themed family Sunday at the art gallery! Participants will make their very own Easter decorations. $5 per participant, 45 minute time slots. Registration is required.
Bat Appreciation Day (with some Easter surprises!)
When: April 17 (all day)
Where: 5684 Beach Ave, Peachland
What: Take a stroll and learn about bats on the Bat House Interpretive Trail. Keep an eye out for Easter surprises on the posts where Bat houses are installed! Bring the number on the surprise to the bat display in the Peachland Historic School on Beach Ave to claim and Easter treat.
