A visit to these popular Okanagan farms & orchards is a fall must-do, with tons of family fun to be had!

DAVISON ORCHARDS

Location: 3111 Davison Road, Vernon, BC
Apple Harvest Festival

What: Take a tour into the Orchard and pick your own apples right from the tree!
When: Wednesday – Sunday in September, 10 am – 4 pm
Cost: $10.00/10lbs bag of U-Pick Apples; $3 kids bag; Tractor Tour: $8/adult & $5/child 2-12 years

Pumpkin Picking Festival
What: Take a tractor tour out into the pumpkin patch and find the perfect pumpkin!
When: Wednesday – Sunday in October, 10 am – 4 pm
Cost: Pick any size pumpkin $10; Tractor Tour: $8/adult and $5/child 2-12 years

DON-O-RAY ADVENTURE FARM

Location: 3443 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna BC
What: Feed and pet the pony, lambs, goats, ducks, silkie chickens and bunnies; explore the hedge maze; and get an airbrush tattoo (free with admission)! They also have a archery target practice, bouncy horses and a rickshaw horse carriage. Visit the market place to purchase ice cream, snacks and pumpkins from their huge selection!
When: Open Friday – Monday, 10 am – 5 pm until October 31
Cost: $7.62/person, 2 & under are free. Pumpkins purchased separately.

JANZEN GARLIC ACRES

Location: 2912 Grieve Road, Kelowna, BC
What: Fun farm attractions including sandboxes, outdoor play spaces, farm cut outs, cow train rides and hayrides through the farm fields and mini forest. Visit and feed the farm animals, including rabbits, goats, pigs and a peacock.
When:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday  10 am -3 pm. Saturday 3 pm – 5 pm. By appointment only and a minimum of 7 people for bookings. 
Cost: $10.50/child, $15.75/adult. 2 & under free.

MCMILLAN FARMS

Location: #1 – 3690 Berard Rd, Kelowna, BC
What: Tractor hay rides showcasing the 110 acre farm and fun activities including a corn maze and a giant sling shot to shoot gourds or apples through. The petting farm includes pigs, pygmy goats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, a llama and more. There is an onsite concession with drinks and snacks for purchase.
When: September 24th – October 31.
Cost: Adult fun pack $8-10, kids $5-6 (plus tax) depending on date of visit

O’KEEFE RANCH

Location: O’Keefe Ranch, 9380 Hwy 97N, Vernon
What: Tons of family friendly activities, including meet and greet with the goats and donkey, the general store, a model railway exhibit, and more. Until October 31 check out the corn maze!
When: Every weekend in October from 11 am – 4 pm
Cost: adults: $10; seniors: $5; children: $5; family (2 adults and 4 kids): $25. Admission to the maze is $5/person

103rd Annual Peachland Fall Fair

This event has the atmosphere and content of an old-fashioned country fair and is celebrating 103 years!

East Kelowna Market at Wiseacre Farm and Distillery 
Date: Sept 10, 11 am – 3 pm
Location: Wiseacre Farm and Distillery, 4275 Goodison Rd, Kelowna
What: A variety of vendors including wood vendors, metal, clothing, clay, art, beeswax candles, and flowers. Local musicians and lunch options, as well opportunities to meet the farm animals, explore the collection of vintage farm equipment and enjoy a tasting.

Summerland Fall Fair

Fintry Fall Fair

September Market at the RCA
Date:

What: This one day market will feature 80 local vendors and food trucks.

Fall Fest at Grizzli Winery

What: The first annual Grizzli Winery Fall Fest! 22nd Annual Armstrong Harvest Pumpkin Festival

Vernon Arts and Culture Festival: Provincial Kick-off of BC Culture Days
Date: September 23rd, from 10 am-late!
Location: Polson Park, Highway 6, Vernon
What:  A full day of family activities, music, dance, visual arts, culture, heritage, history and more! Polson Artisan Night Market will have 40 vendors and local food trucks. Live Music and Performances will be on the bandstand from 10 am to late, starting with children’s performances. Additional events include 30 activity tents, art demos, storytelling, live music, and artisan booths. Children’s activities will include sing-a-longs and storytelling, crafts, fossil digs and art projects, a colouring contest, Japanese origami and calligraphy, and face painting.

Kettle Valley Movie in the Park
Date: September 23, 2022 6 pm to 10 pm
Location: Providence Park, 5636 Jasper Way, Kelowna
What: This annual Kettle Valley Neighbourhood Movie in the Park brings all ages together for an evening of family entertainment in a safe ‘walk-to’ environment. The movie will be preceded by a one hour period of games and activities while everyone gets settled with chairs and blankets into the outdoor viewing space.

Kelowna Scarecrow Festival

Chattin’ About Salmon
Date: Weekends in September from 11 am – 3 pm
Location: Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363A Springfield Road, Kelowna
What: Chat with park interpreters and learn about the lifecycle of Kokanee salmon. Thousands of salmon leave Okanagan Lake in late August and swim upstream to spawn in their natal waters. Get an up-close look at the salmon and deepen your understanding of what makes these land-locked salmon special.
Cost: Free drop-in anytime during this time frame. Registration not required.

Kelowna Fruit n Veggies Corn Maze
Date: Monday – Saturday 10 am – 3 pm September – October 31
Location: 2190 Cooper Road, Kelowna
What: A massive 5 acres with corn stalks towering above at 8-10 feet high. The maze features a Farm Scene Investigation game that requires you to find the hidden clues throughout the maze and solve the mystery of who kidnapped farmer Joe! Expect to be exploring for an hour to an hour and a half.

What: A nature-based presentation before heading out for a walk to further explore the park.

Family Glo Run
Date: October 7, check-in will take place at Heritage Park from 6 – 7 pm. The race begins at 7:30 pm.
Location: Heritage Park, 1st St & Beach Ave, Peachland
What: Enjoy a stroll or run with the whole family and light up the night! Starting at Peachland’s Heritage Park, this all-ages event will include a 5K run or a 3K walk or run along scenic Beach Ave. This event is all about fun! Dress up in your best and brightest clothing!

Culture Days at the Westbank Museum
Date: October 7, 9 am – 1 pm
Location: Westbank Museum, 2376 Dobbin Rd, West Kelowna
What: Check out the annual blacksmithing demonstration with local blacksmith, Bruce Armon. Watch him forge and craft several different items, and learn more about the art of blacksmithing. Lakeview Coffee Lab will also be at the museum in the morning for this event!

Kokanne Salmon Guided Tour
When: October 7, 10 am – 11 am
Location: Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363 Springfield Road, Kelowna
What: Learn all about Kokanee salmon from an EECO Park interpreter. Afterwards join a play and picnic time. Each ticket purchased will include a booklet about kokanee salmon.

Black Mountain Haunted House

Halloween Pony Rides

Location: Carvan Farm Theatre, 4886 Salmon River Road, Armstrong
What: A professionally produced, site-specific, theatrical tour de force, featuring a cast of up to one hundred community performers.

AB Farm Corn Maze
Date: Every weekend in October
Location: 12691 Treewhit Road East, Oyama
What: Family-friendly corn maze, scavenger hunt, concession stand & pumpkins!

Myra Canyon Halloween Scare Park
Date: October 21  – 31
Location: 4429 June Springs Road, Kelowna
What: Myra Canyon Halloween SCARE Park is back!
Cost: General Admission: $25/person. Children 4 & under: free. Book tickets online in advance.

Haunted House at the Museum
Date:
October 24 – 31, daily from 9 am – 4 pm and 1 pm – 8 pm on October 31
Location: Westbank Museum, 2376 Dobbin Rd, West Kelowna
What: Bring your ghosts, ghouls and goblins to the 2nd annual Haunted House at the Museum. On Halloween there will be a children’s costume contest at 6:00 PM with prizes.
Cost: Entry by donation

  1. Kelowna fruit n veggies has a huge corn maze with a mission where you look for clues. Their air cannon is also a huge hit.
