Little Library: Valentine’s Books for Babies

Valentines books for Babies

We love to read about love and kindness, and these Valentines books are perfect to read with babies ages 0-2, particularly since they feature the things that a baby’s whole world revolves around: Mommy, Daddy, and lot’s of hugs and kisses! We also love giving books for gifts, and these make the perfect gift for your littlest Valentine!

Happy Reading! xo

Valentine’s Books for Babies

I Love My Daddy Giles Andreae
My girls love to read this book, perhaps because its a incredibly accurate representation of my husband! This book is all about having fun with Dad, from eating pizza, to singing and dancing, to watching TV when Mom’s not around. Hmmmm…

I Love My Mommy Giles Andreae
Of course we couldn’t forget to include the Mama version of this book! I’ll even forgive the author for letting Dad have all the fun while sticking Mom with potty-training, bath time and meal time. 😉 In any case, the girls love this book and are sure to point out all the things that they do with Mommy, too!

Llama Llama I Love You Anna Dewdney
The Llama Llama books are full of short rhymes perfect for reading with kids aged 0-2. In this adorable Valentine’s version Llama shows his friends and family how much he loves them. Aria still loves this book and says “Llama! Llama!” every page.

My Little Sweetheart Sara Gillingham
This sweet little book features die-cute pages and a finger puppet, perfect for engaging babies in story time. Both of our girls loved this book at an early age!

The Biggest Kiss Joanna Walsh
This is a cute story all about kisses, from sticky honey ones, to little tiny aunt ones, to fish kisses and worm kisses! It’s a fun book of rhymes with bright pictures that is sure to please the littlest reader.

PS: Did you see last week’s list of Valentine’s Day books for Preschoolers? Be sure to read these fun stories with your preschooler!

  1. Such a sweet idea. My daughter loved books when she was younger & now at 13 shes an avid reader. Start them young. I love it!

    1. I totally agree! I can remember my sister and I staying up late reading with flashlights! Starting them young is so important!

  2. I love the idea of sharing valentines books for littles! I always get so caught up in books for Christmas and don’t really do much for valentine’s with my kids. What a better way to focus on love, than with your very own kids! We have the Llama Llama books as well and my boys love them! Thanks for the reading ideas 🙂

    1. Thanks Kristen! We have so many Christmas books and we also don’t do much for Valentines day! It’s so fun taking our Valentines collections out in the New Year

  3. I teach kids of all ages to read and write and we read all the books you mentioned this past week. Kids love these happy, love soaked books. 🙂
