Little Readers: Halloween BOOks for Babes

Happy Halloween! One of my fave ways to celebrate holidays– any and all holidays, that is– is with festive books! Here are five of our fave Halloween themed books this year. Our story time includes books for both of our girls’ ages (2 &4) : we all usually read a few books together before Aria goes to bed, rhyming board books are her jam, (and V knows most of the baby books by memory now, so sometimes she reads!) and then Vienna and I spend some time reading books with a bit more of a story line. And that Little Blue Truck? Always a hit with both kids 😉

We hope you enjoy our Halloween Little Readers picks! xo

Clifford’s Halloween Norman Bridwell
Clifford has been around forever, right? Vienna loves the Clifford series! I’m not a huge fan of the paperback style books, and love the design twist for this Halloween edition!

Five Black Cats Patricia Hegarty
A fun little rhyming tale of 5 black cats out on the prowl!

Little Blue Truck’s Halloween Alice Schertle
The Little Blue Truck is such a hit with my kids. This version is a lift-the-flap book, which they also love!

Room on the Broom Julia Donaldson
This is a great story for preschoolers, since they have a longer attention span. It rhymes and has a cute story line. Vienna highly recommends this one!

The Itsy Bitsy Pumpkin Sonali Fry
Warning… you’ll be singing this little tune all. day. long. It’s catchy 😉

    1. Ours doesn’t have a great stock either. I love pulling these out year after year, we’ve built our own little holiday library over time!

  1. So cool and the artworks in the book covers are nice too! For sure kids would love these stories ❤

  2. Yes! Little Blue Truck books are always a hit! I found so many good fall themed kids books this year- like City Moon (my fall fave), Pete the Cat and the 5 Little Pumpkins, and Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn. Thanks for the recs!
